Golden TV days

Since the invasion of satellite television, our outlook of television has changed. Previously we had just 1 or 2 channels, where we enjoyed waiting and watching each programmes. But now, with so many channels, i don't think there are any programmes that make the same impressions as certain old ones from DD...which are still close to our heart. Even when there is a re-telecast i would sit and enjoy then again and again. What are the things that bring sweet nostalgic moments of childhood olden days of TV watching. Your fav programs, certain cartoons, national songs ,some ads...come on yaar...lets cherish that old moments!

Rukaawat ke liye khed hai thats what we used to see most of the time those days.Urgggg...hhh how irritated we used to get seeing the sorry for interruption board displayed.I still cherish 'Mile Sure mera tumhara', bhaje sarjam har taraf se gunj ban kar desh Raag.

Amongs animation i remember:
Ek Anek ....ek chidiya anek chiya
Ek Aan ka ek daana sukh dega mujko (krishna -draupadi's)
Ekta mein hi shaki(where a community of small fishes make a shape as a big fish and scare away the big fishes),
recently i saw a video uploaded on youtube a film division, about spreading rumours, i think it came during the early bomb attack times.

Farmaan,Surabhi,Turning Point,Tandoori Nights,Stone Boy,Malgudi days,Oshin,Mowgli, Neev-that is one of my fav...schoolday programs,Bharat ek Khoj was superb,Chankaya,Bymokesh Bhakshi,Street Hawk, Derrick, Disney Cartoons, Rangoli, weekend movies...were all fun.Honi-Anhoni, i still remember most episodes...that was really scary one, even the tune, but still had to watch it,even if we had sleepless nights.Anothery Spooky one was khile ka rahasya...it had a spooky background tune, similar to our All India Radio, starting tune which they play early in the morning. I used to like potli baba kii (song goes like this.. aaya aaya zhenu wali jhunu kaa baba, kisso kaa ...kahaniyo kaa geeton kaa zhaba..) The Ramayan aired on Sundays...i remember certain elderly folks used to sit as if they were watching real gods, they would sit with hands folded....with respect praying....

All newsreaders are still fresh in my memory, not like present day where we don't knw any of them
Rinni Simon,Gitanjali Iyer,Usha Albuquer,Bhaskar Bhattacharya,Sunit Thandon,Kaveri Mukerji,Sarala Maheshwari, Manjari Joshi, Salma sultan and there rose....and on & on...how many news readers we remember today. The news for the hearing impaired.

Among Ads...i remember this the best Jab mein chotta bachha tha, badi sharaarat karta tha...meri chori pakdi jati..(Surya bulbs) Hamara Bajaj(Buland Bharat ki, Buland tasveer) Halo Shampoo Ads(product now not even in market) Amul Ads, Thoondate reh jaagoge(Lalita ji's Ad,surf) Ey bhai, Raam Laxman bulb dena! - remember that ad! .
