Know the truth before you react


The train has started moving. It is packed with people of all ages, mostly with the working men and women and young college guys and gals.

Near the window, seated a old man with his 30 year old son. As the train moves by, the son is overwhelmed with joy as he was thrilled with the scenery outside..

"See dad, the scenery of green trees moving away is very beautiful"

This behavior from a thirty year old son made the other people feel strange about him. Every one started murmuring something or other about this son."
This guy seems to be a krack.." newly married Anup whispered to his wife.

Suddenly it started raining... Rain drops fell on the travelers through the opened window. The Thirty year old son , filled with joy " see dad, how beautiful the rain is .."

Anup's wife got irritated with the rain drops spoiling her new suit.

Anup ," cant you see its raining, you old man, if ur son is not feeling well get him soon to a mental asylum..and dont disturb public henceforth"

The old man hesitated first and then in a low tone replied " we are on the way back from hospital, my son got discharged today morning , he was a blind by birth, last week only he got his vision, these rain and nature are new to his eyes.. Please forgive us for the inconvenience caused..."

What we see may not always be right !! Hence try to know the truth before you react.

Different Worlds

We take things for granted in our life. Daily how much food do we waste, how much water do we waste, and we spend money just for our pleasures on music, designer label clothings, accessories, etc. I used to waste a lot of food, coz maybe i didn't like it...it was not my favourite dish, it could be any reason. But the food i eat daily, i had taken it for granted, whenever i threw a portion of my food, i never regreted but somewhere in the world people just that morsel of food would be heaven to them. Ofcourse, i would strave a day in the name of dieting but did that make any difference to me. I actually don't know what real starvation is ! Recently my friend told about a supermarket were everyday they would dispose and destroy the left over stock of vegetables of the day.And coincidently the same day i read an article, about sudan or some African country. There the people just didn't have water to drink, they kept searching for water but they didn't find it anywhere. Fin

Simple Warli Art

I had always been fascinated by one painting which I had on my bedspread. It depicted the daily life of the rural people, almost similar to the Forest life. It looks somewhat similar to the cave paintings of early man which I had seen in certain text books. But this piece of art was very common in india on bed cover, cushion covers and even many book covers, many had this as it was simple and fascinating one. Then I found out, such paintings were called Warli paintings which basically used rice flour as a medium to make simple lines and geometric figures which looked amazing but still had simplicity in it. Beautiful Borobudur

On the island of Java stands a mountain of a thousand statues...panels at Borobudur surrounded by volcanoes, shrouded in mystery. It conveys the visitor to the heart of the life of Buddha with strong iconographical details. Located at 42 kms west of Yogyakarta, on the island of Java in Indonesia, Borobudur - one of the most magnificent Buddhist shrines in the world - was built at the end of the 9th century by the Hindu kings of the Sailendra dynasty. Although the architect and the artisans were of Indian origin, most of the craftsmen and carvers were Javanese, so Borobudur shows both Indian and Javanese influence. Its estimated to have took 75 Years to build and was completed in 825 A.D. FROM A VET'S EXPERIENCE. Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very, attached to Belker and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home. As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker's family surrounded him.
