This guy had been on a long flight. The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on: "Fasten your seat belts." Then, after a while, a calm voice said, "We shall not be serving the beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence. Please be sure your seat belt is fastened." As he looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive.. Later, the voice of the announcer said, "We are so sorry that we are unable to serve the meal at this time. The turbulence is still ahead of us." And then the storm broke. The ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines. Lightening lit up the darkening skies and within moments that great plane was like a cork tossed around on a celestial ocean. The little girl said, 'No, Dad. You hold my hand.' 'What's the difference?' Asked the puzzled father. 'There's a big difference,' replied the little girl. 'If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.' In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind,but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours... We take things for granted in our life. Daily how much food do we waste, how much water do we waste, and we spend money just for our pleasures on music, designer label clothings, accessories, etc. I used to waste a lot of food, coz maybe i didn't like it...it was not my favourite dish, it could be any reason. But the food i eat daily, i had taken it for granted, whenever i threw a portion of my food, i never regreted but somewhere in the world people just that morsel of food would be heaven to them. Ofcourse, i would strave a day in the name of dieting but did that make any difference to me. I actually don't know what real starvation is ! Recently my friend told about a supermarket were everyday they would dispose and destroy the left over stock of vegetables of the day.And coincidently the same day i read an article, about sudan or some African country. Its the buddhist festival celebrated on buddha poornami. The day is a day thrice blessed. The world knows it as Buddha Purnima. Its significance lies in the fact that it was on this day that Prince Siddharth was born, got enlightenment and left his physical state at the age of 80. Vesak or wesak is the most holy time in the Buddhist calendar.Vaishākha is the name of the second month of the lunar Hindu calendar. Wesak is a major festival in many Buddhist countries. Two Faces of a coin

Recently, read in the papers that Kolkata is facing a mysterious shortage of coins especially of small denominations like 25 paise, 50 paise, Re 1 and Rs 2, the ferrous stainless steel ones. It’s said that its smuggled into Bangladesh, where they are made into razors and other ornaments. It’s the small shopkeepers who suffered the most and there was a long queue before the RBI for collecting the coins, and the beggars were the better alternatives for coin other than the bank. Officials investigating the disappearance of coins, claim that a one-rupee coin can be melted down to make three or four razor blades, worth two rupees each. The coins are disappearing fast, so fast that RBI had to pump in 900 million pieces of fresh coins only in May to restore the demand-supply imbalance. While in Kolkata, many are suffering due to the shortage of coins, in other part of India even the beggars, bus conductors and shopkeepers don’t even value the 25 paise, 50 paise.
