Life is all about

Have you ever thought what is the purpose of your life? what is the meaning of life? what is life all about? I saw this question in a magazine, still a good one coz everyone has a different perspective of life. Life is a masterpiece you create, you can make it better or you can make it worse but Who wants to make it worse. I do believe that Believe in yourself,Follow your heart & Live your dreams.Don't let negative attitude effect you, be optimistic and if you believe in miracles, it do happens. We live the life of a goldfish, swimming in the same orbit every day...inspire your life, motivate it.Change is a vital part of life. Life is too precious to waste it, coz we live only once.So enjoy every moment of your life. At times life is totally unpredictable. "The winds of grace are allways blowing, but you have to raise your sail." Sri Ramaskrishna .

Murphy's Law

If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong. If there's more than one way to do a job, and one of those ways will result in disaster, then somebody will do it that way. How many of us here believe in Murphy's law.I just wonder why its alway happens at the worst time...being unable to find the car keys when you are in a hurry; getting a flat tyre on your bicycle when you are kilometres from home; rain in the afternoon when you did not take your raincoat to school (it was sunny when you left home in the morning); and missing the bus because it is early for a change. Most common... when i reach office early the boss is late and when i reach office late the boss is early. This used to happen a lot during exams time, what all question i would miss reading, would be staring at me the next day in the question paper. One thing which happens to me mostly is you find good things to buy of your choice when you don't have a penny in your pocket! And when i go there again with ...

Heart or Head ?

Ever feel that tension between your heart saying, "Yes", and your head saying, "No"? Well how do you make the decision? Do you follow your heart or your head when making the big decisions in life? i do mostly listen to my inner voice(heart or mind),coz many a times i had never followed it due to which i regreted certain decisions later. So, now i do follow my heart mostly. But to keep thinking about a problem beyond a certain point is bound to create confusion. There comes a time when more thinking and investigation are harmful. So we must decide and act and never look back. If ur decision goes wrong, try to work on it,improve it. If you want to fill your mind with negative thoughts it b'comes the evil mind and if you fill it with positive thoughts it becomes a pure mind. Now thats up to you, how you cultivate the thoughts. Good and bad have to co-exists.Else how would you appreciate the value of goodness. .

Final Farewell

Image
Dream life as if you’ll live forever; But, live life as if you’ll die today Some people come into our lives and quickly go, some people move our souls to dance, They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom, Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon; they stay in our lives for a while, Leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same. How truly said…never knew the bye I was saying to my uncle and cousin would be the final one………two people, so close to my heart ….whom I adored very much. After spending 4 memorable years at my hometown , I was traveling back with my family to Delhi…a reunion…. in search of better opportunities. Just 10 min. left for the train to depart, my uncle holding my hands for a long time just looked at me …..His eyes looked quite sad…why he gave that look, I still don’t know. Did he know or feel what was about to come????? Don’t know, but still that look really quizzes me, even today. My cousin came jus...

Simple Warli Art

Image
I had always been fascinated by one painting which I had on my bedspread. It depicted the daily life of the rural people, almost similar to the Forest life. It looks somewhat similar to the cave paintings of early man which I had seen in certain text books. But this piece of art was very common in india on bed cover, cushion covers and even many book covers, many had this as it was simple and fascinating one. Then I found out, such paintings were called Warli paintings which basically used rice flour as a medium to make simple lines and geometric figures which looked amazing but still had simplicity in it. The myth t ha t if we u se complex colors and shape then only a piece of work would look great is proved wrong by these simple but beautiful paintings, which reflects the daily life and still look alive with all the forest activities. It is done through simple folk s ymbols drawn with bold, easy strokes with most minimal colors basically white since none is needed to draw a...

Atomix Adventures

Image
I had seen this article in newspaper on August 2006. Since then somehow it has always there in my mind. But after such a long time, I forgot both the artist and the name of work. Finally googling with some matching words I found the beautiful work of art. Hey, I wish I was there in Australia , when this work of art was exhibite d. I’ve never been the re, but I would had loved to watch it directly, if the pictures itself are so beautiful, how beautiful it would be really to watch. It looks too wonderful and colorful, a room full of art work by Australian artist Nike Savvas. Her art piece consisting of over 50,000 polystyrene balls at the New South Wales Art Gallery in Sydney August 3, 2006. The sculpture titled 'Atomix - Full of Love, Full of Wonder' , vibrates with wind from 10 fans and represents the different 'shimmering' colours in a hot, outback landscape. It is part of a sculpture exhibition 'Adventures with Form in Space' that was open to the p...

Sweet like chocolate

Image
Chocolate is rich in history. For centuries, chocolate has played an vital part in the history of many countries. Historically, Chocolate has been used as both a type of currency and also as an indulgent drink affordable only to royalty. Today, chocolate is enjoyed by all in a variety of forms and continues to be an important part of many cultures. Also, the list of 'The Most Expensive Chocolates' is also mentioned, i wonder what do they add to it,that its so very expensive...maybe GEMS. Did you Know Chocolate syrup was used to represent blood in the famous 45 second shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock's movie, "Psycho" a scene which took 7 days to shoot. Once upon a time, money did grow on trees. Cocoa beans were used as currency by the Mayan and Aztec civilizations over 1400 years ago. When they had too much money to spend, they brewed the excess into hot chocolate drinks. The Swiss consume more chocolate per capita than any other nation on earth. Rumor has it th...

Colours on Wheel

Image
Some interesting facts i gathered from net about cars and our personality Ancient Egyptians believed in chromatherapy, the ability to heal with colors: Red stimulates mental energy, yellow stimulates the nerves, blue heals organic disorders such as colds and hay fever, etc.Colours reflect the characteristics of a person to a great deal.but do you know that the colour of your vehcile, is also a pointer to your personality.Believe it or not! A U.K insurance survey had studied 1,30,000 cars and found that there exists a strong correlation between the personality and a person's choice of his vehicle colour. Psychology studies suggest people choose their cars’ colors based on specific personality traits and how the driver wants to be seen by the world. Black cars put off an intimidating vibe, like a pair of mirrored sunglass es on a state trooper. Red cars say, “I’m fast, give me a ticket!” People who drive green cars tend to like the outdoors and are concerned about the en...

Moments of Zen

Image
I found this while surfing the net, but its a real good one Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either. Leave me alone. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and a leaky tire. It's always darkest before dawn. So if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it. Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted. No one is listening until you make a mistake. Always remember you're unique. Just like everyone else. Never test the depth of the water with both feet. It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities without your help. If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments. Bef...

Happiness Voyage

Image
We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another. Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough, and that all will be well when they are older. Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with them. Surely we’ll be happier when they grow out of the teen years. We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retire. The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now.If not, then when?Your life will always be full of challenges. It is better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all. For the longest time, it seemed that life was about to start. Real life. But there was always some obstacle along the way, an ordeal to get through, some work to be finished, some time to be given, a bill to be paid. Then life would start.I finally came to understand that those ob...

Moonlit Night

Image
I just love this poem - one of the best poem Moonlit Night – Tu Fu Tonight in Fu-chou my wife will be watching this moon alone. I think with Tenderness, of my far-away little ones, too young to understand about their father in Ch'ang-an. My wife's soft hair must be wet from the scented night-mist, and her white arms chilled by the cold moonlight. When shall we lean on the open casement together and gaze at the moon until the tears on our cheeks are dry? Tu Fu (or Du Fu, 712-770) is considered China's greatest poet, recognized for his lyricism, sentiment, use of precise images and metaphors, his treatment of self, ambition, war, culture, and fate. But perhaps Tu Fu's most pointed theme is the classic dilemma of the intelligent and the sensitive: service or seclusion, duty versus reclusion. [Read More] . .
